When Nature Calls, We Must Respond
In the face of climate change, poisoned soil, disappearing forests, and a disconnected youth Prokritijatra is not just a response, it is a resurrection.
It is more than a journey. It is a national movement born of love for nature, the wisdom of the past, and the responsibility of the present.
Over 100 days, we will reach every district of Bangladesh, spreading seeds of hope, knowledge, culture, and green action.
Our core mission:
- Reach 10 million people
- Plant seeds—literally and metaphorically—for building a conscious and sustainable nation
About the Organizer
Prokritijatra is organized by the Rotary Club of Eco Dhaka, the only environment-focused Rotary Club in Bangladesh.
It is listed under the ESRAG Eco-Clubs network (Environmental Sustainability Rotary Action Group).
Eco Dhaka is committed to environmental innovation, sustainability education, and grassroots action to preserve the planet for future generations.
Why Now?
We are living in a time when:
- Children grow up without knowing the names of native trees and birds
- Chemical farming is poisoning our food and replacing ancestral wisdom
- Youth are eager but directionless
- Climate change is real, but action is minimal
- Traditional healing and herbal knowledge are vanishing
- Local environmental warriors remain unseen and unsupported
Bangladesh urgently needs a nationwide green movement—and that time is now.
